Detailed Selection Process
The JKSSB will select candidates through a very transparent and straightforward process. It involves the following steps:
1. Written Examination (OMR Based)
This is the main step. All eligible applicants will be called for an Offline Written Test.
- The exam will have Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
- The question paper will be set in English only.
- There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
- The marks scored in this written test will strictly decide the final merit list. There are no interviews for these Group-C posts.
2. Document Verification (DV)
Candidates who clear the cut-off marks in the written exam will be called for document verification. You will need to show your original Domicile Certificate, Category Certificate, Marksheets, and Date of Birth proof.
3. Medical Examination
Finally, shortlisted candidates will go through a basic medical fitness test before the final joining letter is issued.
