What to do After Clearing the IFoS Mains Exam?

If your roll number is in the result PDF, your next big step is the Personality Test (Interview). But before that, there is an important form you need to fill out.

1. Fill the DAF-II (Detailed Application Form-II)

All passing candidates must fill out the DAF-II online. This form asks for your detailed background, education, and hobbies. The interview panel will ask you questions based on what you fill in this form, so fill it very carefully and honestly.

  • UPSC will soon share the starting and last dates to fill out the DAF-II on their website. Keep checking the portal so you do not miss the deadline.

2. Keep Your Documents Ready

When you fill out the DAF-II, you will need to upload scanned copies of your original documents. Keep your age proof, education degree certificates, and caste/category certificates (if applicable) ready in digital format.

3. Prepare for the Interview

The exact dates for the Personality Test will be announced by UPSC shortly. You will get an e-Summon Letter (admit card for the interview) online. Start reading daily newspapers and revise your optional subjects and graduation topics.

What About Marksheets and Cut-Off Marks?

UPSC does not show the marks right now. The marksheets and the official cut-off marks for both the Prelims and Mains exams will be uploaded on the UPSC website only after the final result (which comes after all the interviews are finished).
